Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard only navigation, magnification or reduced motion settings. We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

What we have done

• Every page is a real page with its own address, a single main heading, and a skip to content link
• Navigation works with a keyboard, and the current page is announced to assistive technology
• Text colour combinations are tested against WCAG AA contrast ratios, including the orange accent, which uses a darker value for any text below 24 pixels
• Focus indicators are visible and not removed
• Form fields have visible, programmatically associated labels
• Animation and smooth scrolling are disabled for anyone whose system requests reduced motion
• The site works without JavaScript, including the navigation menu
• Layout reflows to a single column on small screens without horizontal scrolling

Known limitations

We have not yet had the site independently audited. If you find something that does not work for you, we would like to hear about it and we will fix it.
